Professor Gerston has taught Political Science at San Jose State University since 1974. He is also a political analyst on NBC television, Channel 11, and on KCBS Radio.
Included in his academic publications are Reviving Citizen Engagement: Policies to Renew National Community and California Politics and Government: A Practical Approach. Professor Gerston has also authored The Road to Hana for children and The Costco Experience: An Unofficial Survivors’s Guide.
Professor Gerston has recieved awards from the Peninsula Press Club, Professor of the Year, and the Warburton Award of Merit, from San Jose State University.
