Martha Raddatz is ABC News Chief Global Affairs Correspondent. Her previous assignments at the network were Senior Foreign Affairs Correspondent and Chief White House Correspondent during the administration of George W. Bush.
Raddatz covered the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, also travelling to Africa, India, and Pakistan with then US Secretary of State Colin Powell. Her coverage at the State Department after the September 11 attacks was recognized, along with other ABC News recipients with a Peabody Award and an Emmy Award.
She has also traveled to Iraq and Afghanistan more than a dozen times in the last four years, spending weeks embedded with US forces. She also covered Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta.
Martha Raddatz is the author of The Long Road Home – a Story of War and Family, released in 2007 that made both the Washington Post and New York Times best seller list. Raddatz is a frequent guest on the PBS program Washington Week and on ”Charlie Rose”
