Katie Anderson

Katie Anderson grew up in Los Altos and earned a bachelor’s degree in human biology from Stanford University. She was awarded a Fulbright Scholar ship and earned a master’s degree in public health from the University of Sydney. Her passion for learning and sharing with others led Katie to take roles leading performance improvement teams in several organizations and to partner with Toyota leader Isao Yoshino. Katie lived and worked 18 months in Japan learning directly from Toyota leaders; she has worked in several other countries.

Ms. Anderson is the author of the 2023 award-winning book Learning to Lead, Leading to Learn: Lessons from Toyota Leader Isao Yoshino on a Lifetime of Continuous Learning. Katie is host of the leadership podcast Chain of Learning® and principle in her consulting firm Katie Anderson Consulting. These efforts support organizations around the world to develop continuous improvement programs that put people and learning at the center of excellence. One of her leadership development experiences is a week-long trip to Japan for an immersive program that includes discussions with Japanese business experts.
