Anne Robichaud completed studies in Italian literature and culture and art history at the University for Foreigners in Perugia, Italy in 1969. She also received degrees in English Literature and in Italian Language and Literature from the University of Santa Clara (California) in 1970. Robichaud furthered her studies at the University of California, Berkeley in l972. Since 1973 she has lived in Italy.
After teaching for two years in Rome, Anne Robichaud and her Italian husband moved to a mountain area outside of Assisi (Umbria) where they worked the land, raised three children, and began restoring their farmhouse.
In Umbria, Robichaud founded and ran English Language Institute in Assisi. She has lectured for Elderhostel and conducted the “Umbrian Countrysides” tour for the Smithsonian. Her many other activities include an Umbrian walking tour for Wilderness Travel and assistant for University of Santa Clara’s summer abroad Assisi program. She has also taught classes in Umbrian cooking.
